ALVAN STUDENTS AND SCHOOL MANEGEMENT, WHO IS FOOLING WHO.

IN ALVAN, KNOWLEGDE IS POWER

For the past few days now academic activities had been shut down in Alvan  Ikoku Federal College Of Education Owerri, due to Students protest over the school management nonchalant attitude towards their plight, the protest which started around 5:30am. Though was peaceful initially but due to the unwanted intervention of the police whom were supposed to restore peace regrettably trigger up the violence by releasing about 120 tear gas directly on student's who have no other option angrily destroy some of the school properties such as Windows of the micro teaching center, about 100 bags of pure water from Alvana pure water company and about 4 cars parked in front of the provost office their screen were destroyed. The school management set up a committee to calculate all that were destroyed by the students during the protest, the committee came up with all their findings that students destroyed properties worth 100,000,000 and resolved that students must pay for it, but if the truth must be told, why did the school management last year December broke into students room destroyed their respective belongings.? Why did the Dean students affair ordered the
school security to remove student cupboard out side and burn them in to ashes at the back of G3 hostel.? Which push the students into an untold hardship even the final year students who have just 4 months to graduate started buying cupboard, pots, spoons, cattle, buckets, cooking stove, foam and some lost all their clothes in fact everything, but why would they do such a thing without pasting notice for students to remove their respective properties, this is totally inhuman and there was no compasation given to these students. and the worst part of it is that they even forcefully send these students to the kitchen that can not contain up to 100 people hmmm.?
You send 912 students to a kitchen that can not contain up to 100 people who is fooling who? and you expect the students to be happy with you. why is it that the borehole water in front of G2 hostel that has 6gp tanks up and 7 Gp tanks down can nt serve the whole of G hostel because non of the tanks are retaining water, as soon as the light is off all the water will rush down to underground and students will result to jumping through FMC to get water from there and sometimes they will be having problems with their security men and the school management is very comfortable with that. LET JUSTICE PREVIAL, what happened to the G3 toilets and bathrooms.? and why is it that the school management can't repair their suckaway for the past 6 months now, but they can build  shops within one month, almost all the school hostel are leaking water and the occupants of those leaking rooms have severally complained to the wardens and sometimes were asked to write to the Dean students affair, but they wunt complay.
What can we do about this case.

Pastor Joshua Iginla on piracy, helping Nollywood actors

Pastor Joshua Iginla is the Senior Pastor of Champions Royal Assembly in Kubwa, Abuja. He is a kind pastor who occasionally gives Nigerian celebrities gifts, especially those who are not financially buoyant or are in need.

In a recent interview, he called out Nigerians for neglecting Nollywood actors who fall terribly sick. He said this during the same service which he gifted a Nollywood actor with a car.
Dailypost reported that he said: “The level of piracy in this country is serious; I hope government will do something about it. These Nollywood actors and actresses are Nigeria’s ambassadors who are projecting the image of the country to the world favourably.”

“Many of them have died prematurely because they are hardworking but piracy has crippled them. We enjoy watching their films but we watch them when they are helpless with none to help them.”

“You think they are rich just because they act rich men’s and women’s roles but many of them get 50,000 naira for a role and they may not get another role until about three months later.”

“I give because I rose from grass to grace; so I understand that I will only live in one house and ride only one car at a time. It is not that we have the whole money in the world but this is a spirit of giving.”

Why 2016 MBGN is cancelled

Finalists at the MBGN 2015

The most anticipated beauty pageant in Nigeria, Most Beautiful Girl in Nigeria will not hold this year!

The annual beauty event which is being organised by the Silverbird Group, will not take place this year, 2016.

LIB exclusively gathered that the organisers decided to call off this year’s pageant to enable them focus on their forthcoming 30th anniversary of the group which is taking place in 2017.

2015 MBGN Unoaku Anyadike

Another reason given for the cancellation is the economy recession plaguing the country. The source claimed that the recession made sponsors not to respond to the organisers of the beauty pageant this year.

This is will be the third time the yearly beauty contest will not be held as at when due. In 1993, the MBGN was cancelled over the tension in the country following the cancellation of the June 12 presidential election. As it is now, the current queen Unoaku Anyadike will reign as MBGN for two years.

Senator Ben Murray-Bruce

The MBGN beauty pageant was started by Senator Ben Murray-Bruce in 1986 and its first winner was Lynda Chuba.

Priest who died long ago seen moving about inside a museum

Religious leaders in Russia have claimed that the mummified remains of Buddhist Lama who died 89 years ago has been spotted wandering around a museum.

The famous lama died in 1927 and was mummified

The preserved remains of Lama Dashi-Dorzho Itigilov – the revered Buddhist leader in Russia before and after the Bolshevik Revolution – are normally kept in a glass sarcophagus located on the second floor of his ‘palace’ near Ulan-Ude in Siberia. But now local religious leaders claim CCTV footage shows the lama moving both on Sunday and Monday night, in what they say might be a call for world peace.

While some are of the opinion that the images seen might be that of a security guard possibly wearing military fatigues, carrying two bags and wearing shoes, the current head of the Buddhist Traditional Sangha, Lama Damba Ayusheev, told The Siberian Times:

CCTV footage shows a grainy figure moving around the museum where the lama is kept

”One image shows a grainy figure in the foreground, while a second, a day later, shows a similar figure close to or on a sofa. This is not a joke, that’s for sure. I see a figure of a man on the shot, as you do, and I know precisely there could not be anyone in the Palace of Khambo Lama Itigilov at this time.

The first sighting was at 8.05pm when nobody had access to the lama’s chamber at this time. The lama is in five or six metres down the hall on his throne, and this place [where the man stands] is at the front door. A second picture apparently showing lama Itiligov was on the move again, this time by the sofa. There is no video, only a flash from the body on the shot. I was taken aback by this image, though somewhere in the depths of the mind I imagined such a possibility, but I still was not ready to see this.”

Religious leaders have claimed that the figure is that of the dead Lama

The images are poor quality and he has not released full footage but said the image was triggered by movement in the room. A spokesman for the Buddhist Traditional Sangha of Russia, Tubden Baldanov, agreed that Lama Itigelov had moved and added: ‘The fact that he appeared in camouflage … We do not know. Maybe it’s some kind of sign? Maybe he says something? Perhaps, that the international organisations should work on peace?’

…Maybe; Just maybe!

5 Mix Engineers Who Are Taking The Music Spotlight

The job of a mix engineer is no small or easy feat at all. While music producers are the ones tasked with the responsibility of finding diamonds from the rough, the mix engineers have the bigger responsibility of making the diamonds sparkle and shine. To put it simply, they ensure that the sounds brought by artistes on songs are super crisp and crystal clear. If you have the first idea on the technicalities involved in music production and sound engineering, then you’ll understand the grueling efforts put in by these bad men for us to enjoy on tuneful numbers like Fada Fada and Mama, with all the relish that we do.

Now there are mix engineers and there are mix engineers. So we wanna tell you a teeny bit about these 5 who are honing the industry’s spotlight in music.

Zeeno Foster

One of the favourite sound tags I relish hearing on songs has to be ‘Mixing Zeeno Foster!’

Zeeno Foster is definitely one of the best, having executed a variety of music hits for a rare caliber of artistes in the persons of P-Square, Flavour, Kcee (and his 5-Star Music cult), 9ice, 2face, J.Martins, Wizkid, Iyanya, Sean Tizzle, May D, Presh and Humblesmith. Going by his very introverted nature and lowkey personality, there’s not so much – if at all any – information on his background out on news sites and blogs. But what’s certain is that he is most respected in the industry, and his penchant for playing a strong hand of consistency with musical sounds and albums that have spanned years, has left his professional skill as one of those in very high demand. Zeeno who hails from Delta State is also a music producer with song credits from Tiwa Savage, P-Square, Deebee and Olu Maintain. He is the CEO of Zane Pro Studios, a high-tech ‘music factory’ located in the heart of Ikeja, Lagos.

Suka Sound

Plateau State born, Suka Andrews is no strange nom to the industry. Asides being well sought-after by artistes, he also has perhaps the most familiar signature line heard on many many cherished tunes and hit songs that have surfaced on and off the music charts. Suka Sounds boasts an active service that spans almost a decade. After bagging his degree in Music from the Lani Stephen’s institute, he returned to his home town in Jos where he acted in the capacity of an in-house producer and studio manager.

Fast forward 3 years after, Suka joined the EME label music force, where he constantly torched sounds for Skales, Niyola, Wizkid, Shaydeeboi and Banky W of course. But his genius hands didn’t just end there at all. His skillful magic has been felt from a clientele covering the industry’s best and most finely bred musicians and superstars like Dremo, Davido, Mayorkun, Ruby Gyang, Jhybo, Phenom, Brymo, Ice Prince, Patoranking, Orezi, Ketchup, MC Galaxy, Yemi Alade and L.A.X. Some of the sound bangers that carry his uber-familiar ‘Suka Sounds’ signature include Shuperu, Caro, Ginger, Toh Bad, Jasi, Ara, Sekem, Ojuelegba, Owo Ni Koko, Eleko and My Woman, My Everything… among an infinitesimal count of others.

MarQai MiXx

They call him the industry’s finest and I’m sure it has plenty to do with his seasoned skills amassed from wealthy years of experience. Almost a decade in the music grind, MarQai (real names Michael Udenna) started from the very basics of voicing jingles heard on revered radio and TV stations before undertaking the task of editing these jobs by himself just so it could meet with his idea of standard. This later brought him to Top Radio and Rainbow FM where he handled production duties and soon rose in the ranks to heading the intensely demanding unit.

His clientele includes a creme of top shots in the industry. From 2face Idibia to Falz, Reminisce, Ruggedman, Seriki, Praiz, Niniola, Sojay, Vector, Terry Apala, K9, Splash and Kid Konnect, MarQai has built an utterly impressive catalogue of songs… jamz actually, and some of them include Coded Tinz, Oya Come Make We Go, Karishika, Clap, Religion, Gboriduro, Bounce, Seyi Shay, SugarCane, Where is Vector, Agege, Nwata Ji Nku, Champagne Showers, Stand Back Mudafucker, Lord Have Mercy… we no go comot hia if I no stop to dey mention, so just blow your mind some more by peeping his professional credits on his website. MarQai is very bad like that and best part is, he is for everybody!

Indomix

The intriguing thing about Oluwole Iloyi aka Indomix is the fact that he introduced the use of music signatures for sound engineers on songs that had their adept hands in musical mastery and mixing. Just like artistes and producers, this trend became widely accepted by many engineers who were simply after heralding their fine works to the public. So everytime you hear Suka Sounds, Mixing Zeeno Foster and other music tag lines on all those songs you love so much, remember that Indomix championed it first.

Indomix is a ND holder from Moshood Abiola Polytechnic. He used to be part-member of a 4-man music group back in 1998 before focusing majorly on the technical side to music – engineering and production. Asides glistening the shine for acts like Pepenazi, Reminisce, Niniola, Ruggedman, Vector, D’Banj, Sound Sultan and Olu Maintain on musical singles including Illegal, Akara Oyibo, Local Rappers, King Kong, Oyato and an almost infinitesimal count of others, he sometime moonlights as an afro artiste with singles like ‘Owo’, ‘Aganran’ and ‘Eran’ whose video was just released a couple months ago. For a comprehensive look at his musical discography and professional service, you can check out his website.

Sheyman

Sheyman’s musical niche doesn’t only reside in the high-tech specialty, he is also a R&B/afro singer-songwriter from where he earned the title ‘king of melody’. Unlike most his colleagues in sound engineering and music production, he has an impressive repertoire of songs which attest to his flair for the vocal art. Some of his popular singles include the Davido-assisted ‘Paper’, the Flavour-assisted ‘Sampuwa’, ‘Celebrate’, ‘Kokan’ Aye’, ‘Overload’ and more recently, the DJ Coublon-produced ‘Ball Properly’.

Sheyman (real names Oluseyi A. Ademoye) who hails from Ogun State, Nigeria, has had working stints as a judge on music talent hunt platforms and currently heads Phat Entertainment outfit. Since assuming responsibility as one of the industry’s finest music makers, he shares professional credit with several industry superstars including the late Goldie, Jaywon, Aramide, Kiss Daniel, Iyanya, Jah Bless, Pasuma, Joe El, Bigiano, Byno, T.W.O and several others having attained a certified hit status for songs like Kukere, Woju, Feeling This Feeling, Joor Oh, Don’t Touch and Shayo.

Worthy Mentions
Mix Monster
Certified beat master, music producer and singer, Selebobo goes by the mononym ‘Mix Monster’ when his assignment requires services from his mixing and music mastery skill. Some of his credits include songs by Yemi Alade, Bracket, Flavour and Tekno.

Brain Mix
Slowly but gradually, Brain is making an imprint with his knowledge reservatory in music. He appears to be exclusive with a certain artiste fold but he is most certainly at the service of a clientele that comprises the likes of Vector, Solidstar and more others.

T-Piano
Another very good badt guy is T-Piano, who continues to cater for the music needs of the ever growing Nigerian musicville. While artistes set to blow keep benefiting from his finger magic, Yemi Alade, Oritsefemi, Rayce… are some eyebrow musicians with songs tied to his mixing credit.

Spyritmix
Spyritmix comes in very hot and popular demand especially in circles that are run mostly by upcoming and fast-rising artistes. That aside, he comes highly recommended and it has too much to do his very deft and appreciable skill.

Korra – “Kilibe” ft. MzKiss (Prod by EmmaShyne)

Following the release of the hit singles “No Time” an all time favourite of Korra Obidi‘s French speaking fanbase. “Man Like You” and “Strong  Love “, the ragga rendition of sweet love, Korra Obidi literally topples the minds of her fans with the hard-core afro-trap banger “Kilibe”.
Featuring  the street queen MzKiss, the beauty of this track is its very unique delivery by both female artistes; as Korra wows and delivers big time with the lyrics surprisingly! I guess the dance queen is much more than a pretty face in the industry. The track written by Korra Obidi and MzKiss and produced by EmmaShyne; alike just gave a mouth to mouth to the dying  hip-hop/ Afro-trap scene in the Nigerian music industry.
Enjoy!
